Hello,
I want to watch the channels over lan on a Media client (Netgear EVA 2000 Digital Entertainer Live).
In the server I have a Technsat Skystar 2 PCI TV Card and the Wildmediaserver found this card and i few channels.
The problem is i can't play the channels on the server, when i double click on a channel, I have to set a player, i click on VLC player and nothings happens.
When I try to play this channel on the Netgear client, it shows that this is not playable.
The channels found as dv**.ts i dont know the filename exactly know.
I use the standard transcoding profile "movies primary" but the exact name I can tell you tomorrow.
I tryed a few transcoding profile e.g. the dvpiper profile andthe exact saw result was happend.
I have to say sorry for my bad english i hope you can understand me und help me.
thanks

Hello,
DVB is supported without transcoding or using the transcoding profile "Digital television (DVB) - DVPiper". What messages when test transcoding ?pucapg wrote: I want to watch the channels over lan on a Media client (Netgear EVA 2000 Digital Entertainer Live).

Hello, thanks for your Reply, i'm a amateur in case of Wildmediaserver.
At first the netgear client shows behind the tv channel name (access:fta) when i click on the channel, the netgear client told me that "Detect this Media format is not possible"
Know to your questions, when i click on the test transcoding
Error number -2 occured is shown.
for detail information about this test transoding see my attachment, there you can find i screenshot from this test.
Best Regards Richard.

On the right click mouse choose transcoding profile "Digital television (DVB) - DVPiper", "Test transcoding".pucapg wrote:Hello, thanks for your Reply, i'm a amateur in case of Wildmediaserver.

Hello,
so now i choise the transcoding profile dvpiper, the result from the test transcoding profile can you see in the attachment.
I tested to watch the tv channel over the netgear client and one channel works. I can watch this channel with video and audio. But the problem is that is need a long time to connect and to watch the channel, I think one or two minutes.
The system ressource of the server was 20 % of the CPU, when i watch this channel.
When i watch the other channels it also need a long time to connect, but than i here no audio or a few tones, and the video is still a image. The needed system ressource at this time are 40-50% cpu at the server.
Is the slow server the reason that is need long time to connect and to watch the channel and that is not possible to watch the other channels?
The server is ja Pentium 4 with 2,4 Ghz and 4 Gb RAM.
thanks for your reply.

Hello,
Perhaps the speed of transcoding small, perhaps a device requests content several times from different positions.

Re: Watch TV Channels (dvb-s) on a upnp Client
Hello,
do you know if the netgear client shows the TV channel without any problems?
I have now 6 TV Channels, because i stopped th Channels search rather, because I want to test it at first.
one channels works fine, I can watch the tv channel on the streaming client without any problems. But the other 5 channels dosent work well, i cant see the video well, I see a distorted image and I here no Audio.
With the small speed of transcoding, you mean the tv Card, is the speed from the tv card to small?
I know that the speed of the TV Card is limited of 42 mbit per transponder.
I get this week a new TV Card were is no limitation. Do you think that I dont have there these problems with the other TV Channels?
thanks Richard

Re: Watch TV Channels (dvb-s) on a upnp Client
Hello,
Have you tried to change the format of the transcoded file to MPEG (DVD)?
FFMPEG is not always well-formed MPEGTS, possible problem with this.
No, I do not have such informationpucapg wrote: do you know if the netgear client shows the TV channel without any problems?
Have you checked the playback in Windows ?pucapg wrote: I have now 6 TV Channels, because i stopped th Channels search rather, because I want to test it at first.

Maybe your computer slow transcodes the input stream.pucapg wrote: With the small speed of transcoding, you mean the tv Card, is the speed from the tv card to small?

If there are no problems with playback in Windows, I do not think that this will solve the problem.pucapg wrote: I get this week a new TV Card were is no limitation. Do you think that I dont have there these problems with the other TV Channels?
Re: Watch TV Channels (dvb-s) on a upnp Client
Hello,

When I clicked on the DVBVIDEO.ts in the Server and choose the VLC Media Player, nothing happens. And when I double click on the WMS Server over the Network and the Windows Mediaplayer was opend, I cant choose the TV channels, I only can watch the Videos and here the music from the server.
And where can I select the transcoded format file? When i right click on the type video from the dvbvideo.ts and than choose edit information, I nothing found a menu where can I select the mpeg (dvd).
I try really many thinks but it dosent work. Sorry for the many questions, I hope you can help me.
thanks Richard
