Shoutcast and RSSpodcasts

Post by km123 »

Hi, I am searching over whole forum but I cannot find solution
for my resources :(

How can I add http://pianosolo.streamguys.net:80/live
into WMS if I am using WD live profile/device

Player say always unsupported format :(

Second question is howto add http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/wor ... ia/rss.xml and listen on WD player ?
I haven't any problem with adding into TVersity but with same URL
i am not able listen if i am using WMS

To play online resources requires VLC (http://www.videolan.org). On the right mouse button you can select a profile transcoding "Music - Internet-Radio (VLC)". I have no problems with playing these resources WDTV Live.

I am adding my URL into WMS\Music\podcast
then Addlink

D:\Program Files\Wild Media Server>"\vlc.exe" -Idummy --language en --sout=#tran
scode{acodec=mp3,ab=192,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:duplicate{dst=std{access=fi
le,mux=raw,dst="D:\DOCUME~1\a\LOCALS~1\APPLIC~1\WILDME~1\WMS\Temp\Test_fc4695d72
ed6efa6766266c81e235648.rss"}} "http://www2.rozhlas.cz/podcast/leonardo.rss"
'"\vlc.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

EDIT/update I found Setup page / Media resources / Internet television
path for VLC I will try update path on my VLCportable directory
D:\Program Files\Wild Media Server>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

I am using VLC standard also portable version on my PC

My problem is with path to VLC but I have no idea
why ?

I made copy of working VLC+libs (ver 0.9.8) under \Transcoders

wmstrans.cfg

Code: Select all

   <Transcoder>
      <Name>VLC</Name>
      <Path>Transcoders\vlc.exe</Path>
      <HomePage>http://www.videolan.org</HomePage>
      <Download>http://www.videolan.org</Download>
    </Transcoder>

hmm trying a shoutcast stream as a podcast now, with profile internet radio on a samsung LE37b650 tv.

Is it possible to get it work? When I start the stream on the tv I hear a loud noise, just like a radio without antenna :P

I have more information now, it's the url that cant be handled properly. http://shoutcast.omroep.nl:8268 doesnt work

http://78.159.104.165:80 works great.

I added both as internet radio with the Music - Internet radio (VLC) transcoding profile
