Missing last 5 seconds on playback and HD stutter

Post by trevorsem »

Hi Eugene,

Whenever I play video, regardless of lenght of the file, I get the error "playback not available" 5 seconds from the end of the file. Why is this please and how do I correct it?

HD programmes also stutter around 30 seconds into play. How can I correct this please?

I have a Sony 40W5500.

Thanks

:D

You're probably low on cpu cycles. If you select your media file and do a test transcode then compare the frame rate generated with that of the file it'll tell you.

After the transfer of content server closes the connection. Try to include this option

In the list of films on the right mouse button you can perform a test transcoding. Speed transcoding (parameter fps) must be greater than the frame rate.
Recommend items 1,2,4: http://www.wildmediaserver.com/forum/vi ... p=218#p218

I have the same issue.

I've done as above and still have this problem, always seems to be the last 5-10 seconds of anything I watch!??

Perhaps you are using individual settings of client device. List of client devices (Settings-Server) empty?
If not empty, the row client device is white or gray?
If gray, that is, individual settings and "Close connection..." to be changed in them.
You can also try to turn on the "Chunked transfer mode" (Settings-Device or in Individual settings)

Hi Eugene,

The stuttering problem has now been resolved for HD films thanks.

I still have the problem of missing the last 5-10 seconds. The first suggested correction was already in place. Will try your other ideas and let you know how it goes.

Thanks

For mode Chunked set transfer buffer size 16, increase until supported.

Hi Eugene

I had the same problem with missing 5 - 10sec at the end of movie on kdl40w5500, but enabling "Chunked transfer mode" sorted out the problem. Maybe it's a common problem for bravia w5500.

thanks for help

PS3 works less stable in chunked mode, I do not know anything about the stability of the Sony Bravia.
