Content of network media folders don't go "thru" in Vista

Post by jki »

Is there something obvious, that i didn't see... :?
I have few network photo folders under watch folders, but files in there give only "file not found".
Folders and file names are ok in watching device (Sony tv's), only file is missing. Local files (in WMS-pc) work fine.
Files are visible in WMS window, and they can opened from it.
User in Vista is administrator and uac is disabled. Network folder can be mapped or not, same problem.

Same setup in XP-pc works as it should.

Oukei, problem solved. After all, setup in Vista PC wasn't exactly same as XP PC.
WMS can't be started as Windows service, when it is "as application", all network folder files are available.

You can specify a user account in the service's settings (Control Panel), which allowed access to network directories
