Hi Everyone,
I use WMS in any situation pretty well but there's something i'd like to solve.
When watching movies with subtitles underneath, some subtitle lines are displayed out of the screen (the longer ones).
Is there any way for the subtitle lines to be always displayed on screen, even if there're long sentences (by reducing the subtitle width and impose a "carriage return")?
Thanks very much by advance.
Niko
Subtitles go out of the screen
Re: Subtitles go out of the screen
Hi,
Code: Select all
1
00:00:06,798 --> 00:00:08,884
Is there any way for the subtitle lines to be always displayed on screen, even if there're long sentences (by reducing the subtitle width and impose a "carriage return")?

Re: Subtitles go out of the screen
Hi,
Possibly this is the result of scaling, the device has a mode "Original frame size" (or something like that) ?

Hi,
Settings - Devices - choose a device - Settings - Transcoder - "Codecs, frame" - Frame - "Active padding color" - select a color, other than black, that the device will not be cut.

Re: Subtitles go out of the screen
Hi,
I've tried the "Active padding color" thing, same result.
It may help you, it's cut on the right side of the screen only...
About the Frame Size: it's on "Minimum, fit to the screen"
Any other ideas Eugene ?
Thanks again
Niko

Hi,
Settings - Transcoder - "Temporary files directory" - specify the directory - Ok
List [Movies] - select a file - right click - "Test transcoding" - your device.
Play a file from "Temporary files directory" with your Windows player - check subtitles

Re: Subtitles go out of the screen
Hello Eugene,
I've done the transcoding test before asking about it : it's the same "spreading text problem" in the generated temp file:
I still can reinstall WMS but if could understand, that'd be better!
