Sony Bravia KDL32v5500 - WMS - Recordings from Eyetv 3

Post by hansjor »

I am just testing Wild Media Server - Fantastic program!

I can watch my picture, listen to music and watch most of my movies. But I have a problem with recording from Elegato EyeTV3. The file extensien of the recordings is *.mpg

I have used GSpot to find out what type of file i am dealing with. Container: File Type: MPEG-2 Transport Stream, Mime Type: video/mp2t. I have tryed a lot of combinations but without luck

Can anybody help??

Thanks on before hand!

Mpg is not very suitable extension for MPEG Transport Stream, try ts or m2ts.
Playing through a folder Transcoding works?

It seems selecting on the Sony Bravia menu: Movies, Transcoding, Watch Folders - and then the recorded file (still with the *.mpg extension works! I will give it a go whit new recordings.

Thanks very much!

Sorry to say - it worked two times - and then it stopped working - now i am getting the message: Ther is now connection to the server - but there is other movies play OK

At the same files or different ? Right-click in the list of films you can perform a test transcoding.

A folder transcoding you can choose to view is not from the beginning. Settings intervals - Settings - Media - Resources - Service. Reportedly, the problem with the recorded stream. You can also try a different profile transcoding MEncoder (download page Settings-Transcoder-Profiles).
