I tried entering the password then turning off the TV (totally off, not just stand by). The restricted folder was still not displayed.
I have gone through the process in small steps. Saving a log file when I thought would be helpful. I have then taken the final log file, marked the ends of the other logs files within it and attached the final file to this post. There appear to be three IP addresses appearing in the LOG. 10.42.42.15 is my TV and is the only device that has a license to use Wild Media Server. The other 2 devices are my router and a PC.
I have previously set a password of 0
I then did the following
Restart TV
Enable debug logging, restart WMS
Save log1
Using TV, Connect to WMS
Navigate to Movies - Service
On the TV are now the folders for Media Device, Media Resource Database and Media Server
Save log2
Select Media Resource Database
On the TV are now the folders for Enter password and Scan folders
Save log3
Select Enter password
TV Displays are the password digit folders
Save log4
Select folder 0
Available to select is the movie for digit 0
Save Log5
Select movie for digit 0
Green tick is displayed
Save log6
Return to menu, available to select is the digit0 movie
save log7
Return through tv menu structure, select folders.
Displayed are pictures and videos, restricted folder is not displayed.
Save log8
Hopefully the logs will help you shed some light on the problem. Thanks for your continued help.

Re: Enter password on device
Thanks, in the log file two requests for video playback, ie the server thinks that you have chosen two digits. A possible solution is the password with double digits (00 instead of 0). On the TV select one digit.pipTheGeek wrote:I tried entering the password then turning off the TV (totally off, not just stand by). The restricted folder was still not displayed.

Doubling the digits works perfectly. Thanks for your help with that. I said it would be my TV doing something silly.

Re: Enter password on device
Hi all,
First of all let me say that the software looks really promising and the first time I installed it it work almost perfect (restricted media always shows up on computer running WMP 12, see another thread). The service menu showed up on my Philips TV and I could enter password to gete access to the restricted media.
But then I had to reinstall Windows 7 on my media computer. I also upgraded from Windows 7 32bit to Windows 7 64bit. Reinstalled WMS 1.08.2 and tried to configure it like the old installation. But now the service menu is not showing up on my TV as it did before. I've looked everywhere in the settings, but I can't find anything wrong.
Could somebody please give me some information on what kind of settings are needed to get access to the service menu on my TV?
Regards,
Roar

Hi,
Settings - Service - "Folder Service"
Folders [Movies] - "All movies" - right click - "Structure of media resources" - hidden, restrictedrbrekken wrote: First of all let me say that the software looks really promising and the first time I installed it it work almost perfect (restricted media always shows up on computer running WMP 12, see another thread).
