I connect my brite-view media streamer to my computer using Wild media server.
Everything works fine, except for the timing. It shows an estimated time for each movie file (no matter what format - avi, mkv, etc.) at about 7 times longer than the actual length. I can also see that the time count (the seconds) is progressing at a much faster speed than actually 1 second after the other.
This happens both when transcoding and without transcoding.
I tried playing with the file positioning and stream positions, but of no avail, I can either get this x7 estimation or a 0000 zero estimation.
Any ideas on what I should change in configuration? I am almost certain I used to have it right at one time or another...
wrong time of movie duration/length
Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
It's strange, you are sure without transcoding?emor wrote:I connect my brite-view media streamer to my computer using Wild media server.

Settings - Transcoder - "Transcoding file parameters" - Movies - Max file size.emor wrote: Any ideas on what I should change in configuration? I am almost certain I used to have it right at one time or another...
Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
Yes, this happens both with and without transcoding.
As to max file size in transcoding, it's: 42949672950

Try to decrease this valueemor wrote:Yes, this happens both with and without transcoding.

Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
Decreasing file size did not help
Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
Perhaps you are using a individual device settings (Settings - Server - choose a device - Edit - Settings - "Subtitles, transcoding file" - "Transcoding file parameters")emor wrote:Decreasing file size did not help
Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
I am indeed using specific device settings. I changed the settings in both places. Decreasing the file size does NOT help
Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
If the time is correct in List [Movies] of the main form, then I think it's a feature of your device.emor wrote:I am indeed using specific device settings. I changed the settings in both places. Decreasing the file size does NOT help
Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
the timing is correct in list.
However when I use XBMC, the timing is correct on my device as well. This means that it's not a feature on my device, but rather something configured wrong on the wild media server.
Any more ideas?

Re: wrong time of movie duration/length
Ok, my mistake. timing is correct when NOT using transcoding. Timing is wrong when using transcoding.
