How to disable scanning CD/DVD drive(s)

Post by LouisXIV »

Whenever I put a disc in one of my DVD drives of my PC WMS automatically starts scanning them. Since I sometimes just put them in after burning to perform a quick check I do not want this, because I have to wait for WMS to finish before removing the disc.

Which setting (if present) do I need to use to disable this auto-scanning feature?

Delete folder "Removable media" from Movies, Music, Photo

I'll try this, but this quite a definitive solution. It will completely take away the possibility of using Removable Media, is there an alternative that will give me the possibility of manually addinf / scanning?

You can delete folder "Removable media" and use Settings-My Computer-"Removable media". Maybe I'll do the setting for manual scan in future versions.
