Currently, it appears that Wild Media Server will keep a computer awake indefinitely.
The TV I am using, the Sony KDS-32EX308 will send a wake on lan magic packet to a device that is asleep. So I just have to click on the WMS icon on the TV and wait a few seconds for the PC to wake up, then go back to the WMS icon.
So there is no need to have the server keep the PC awake when WMS is idle.
I could try and use powercfg on Windows 7 to try and have it ignore WMS's sleep prevention, but I've never had any luck getting that to work with other programs.
Could you add an option to let users choose whether or not Wild keeps the PC awake when it is idle?
Thanks!
Option to let the computer idle to sleep
Re: Option to let the computer idle to sleep
As suspected, powercfg in Windows 7 was no help whatsoever.

Stop server, Suspend computer through server (Folder Service), configuration Settings-Service.
