remote administration

Post by utillity »

Hi again,

since I'm running the server as a windows-service on a windows-2008-core machine, I would like to maintain it from my windows-7 client machine. Is this possible or will there be support for this in the future?

Is not possible, and is not planned. You can used standard tools of Windows (Remote desktop connection)

hi thanks,

where is the information (genre, titles etc) saved? I just moved some file into a sub-folder and now all information is lost. I would like to be able to specify this information within the meta-information of the file itself - then once they are on the server, that information could be used by WMS. Would this be possible? which tool would I have to use to write/update that metadata?

Settings-Processing-Save, load metadata... Edit - turn on "Button on the main form"
