Re: Links to the problematic media resources
Hi,
I have similar problem, but with polish letters in file names. I've followed this thread and tryed all sugestions. Unfortunatelly nothing changed. The files are not played on TV and "transcoding test" from context menu also doesn't work. In the console window of transcoding test I see file name with polish letter swapped with character that not belongs to polish character set. It confirms that problems are in file name encoding. I use Windows 7 Ulitmate x64.
As I've written, sugestions from this thread does not helped me. I've set "HardLinksDirectory" in wms.cfg file, but this directory has not been created by WMS, so I've created it by hand, but it's still empty. Is there any option/switch which I omited that tells WMS to create these links?
One, not so elegant, solution I've found is to change file name to not to contain polish letters and then change Title in media library to contain polish letters. Then the file is transcoded without problems, and TV show titles with polish letters, but it requires much more hand work with file names than I expect. So my little request to this great piece of software is to support unicode file names.
One more thing I want to ask (not exactly concerned on this thread) is: Can I disable showing the "Items Folder Name" as the top level folder node of the server contents?
More detailed description what I looking for: On the Bravia TV I have following structure showed when connected to WMS: Video->WMS->Movies->All Movies, Actors, Genres, ... other folders which I can hide in WMS library contents tree. It looks the same for Photos and Audio. Disable showing "Items Folder Name" means disable showing "Movies", "Music", "Photos" folders uder WMS, so I could be able to navigate Video->WMS->All movies, Actors, Genres, etc.

Re: Links to the problematic media resources
Hi everyone,
this looks like a great piece of software that you created. I have been trying to get this link to work as Internet TV:
http://cctv.ws/9/RaiSport
It works fine on VLC but I can't seem to get it to work on my Xbox360 or PS3 using Wild Media.
Any idea what could be causing the problem?
Cheers

Hi,
On the right-button mouse in the list of films, you can perform a test transcoding. I have no problem with the test transcoding this link.Shadowraven wrote: I have been trying to get this link to work as Internet TV:
