Ok, so you DON"T get DTS? This is what i am asking, is it possible with this media server? It IS POSSIBLE to get DTS audio from this exact movie using PS3 Media server, if its not possible with this product, fine but i just want to be sure that i am not missing settings somewhere. Please confirm.
Thx
DTS Audio
Re: DTS Audio
To further add to this in hopes we find a fix:
When playing 2 movies with DTS in MKV format thru PS3 Media server on the XMB i see Linear PCM and on my reciever i see DTS 5.1
When doing the exact same thing with WMS on the XMB i see Dolby Digital 2ch and on my recevier it sees the same.
So at some point the WMS is NOT passing the DTS audio to my reciever in Linear PCM form which is what i need in order to trick the PS3.. You were right in regards to the DTS not being supported natively on the PS3 via streaming, however if i can get WMS to do what PS3 media server is doing then it equates to the exact same thing.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thx

Re: DTS Audio
I do not use the receiver, but I'll add the necessary functions in the transcoding profiles for experiments, if you want to experiment with your receiver.gtp_98c wrote:To further add to this in hopes we find a fix:

P.S. mkv2vob can hide dts in pcm, tried to use ?
Re: DTS Audio
No i have not tried that as i figured it would be easier to just hide it as PCM instead... Please let me know when you find a solution?
Re: DTS Audio

Re: DTS Audio
Update on test version 0.73.1 (0.73-0.73.1)
1. Settings-Transcoder-codecs, frame-Audio:
- To the list of codecs added LPCM, is used in the profile transcoding
"Movies - TSMuxer", "Movies - DirectShow - TSMuxer".
- added mode "Hide DTS in LPCM", can be used if
media device is connected to the receiver (DTS 5.1 (768 kbit, 1536kbit)) (not tested).
2. Changes in support of the work with Samsung TVs
(http://www.wildmediaserver.com/forum/vi ... ?f=9&t=154). (not tested).

Settings-Transcoder-Profiles - "Movies - TsMuxer" - Restore, "Movies - DirectShow - TsMuxer" - Restore.gtp_98c wrote:Just testing it here, no luck... Anyone else? I went to Settings, transcoder, codes/frames and checked off hide dts in lpcm but still no go... Ideas?

If the list of films is no audio bitrate, then the right mouse button again to read the file properties.
Right mouse button you can assign a profile transcoding "Movies - TsMuxer" and perform a test transcoding, check the properties of the test file transcoding.
