Transcoding hitting wall at 60-65% CPU
Hi Eugene, Great software by the way many thanks :) I wondered if anyone can help me with a general performance issue. I'm getting some stuttering during playback of HD movies especially during highly detailed scenes. This suggests that I'm at the limits of my machines abilities but when I check the...

Test Transcode works from USB
I have an mkv encapsulated DVD which used to work through WMS using the tsmuxer profile. I get a good thumbnail of the video but when I play the file I get 'playback not available' I did a test transcode and copied the file to a usb stick. This works fine?? Can anyone help me with this conundrum ple...

Re: Sony 46W5800 - streaming mkv & m2ts without transcoding?
I have several HD mkvs which transcode to the test file but don't display on the TV. You've said in another post that Sony is very particular to h.264 encoding, I was trying to find out what implementation of h.264 it does understand? Thanks for the DLNA white paper - unfortunatly it's a bit beyond ...

Re: Sony 46W5800 - streaming mkv & m2ts without transcoding?
Eugene - do you know where I can find the standards excepted by the TV so I can encode/transcode my existing files. I have tried and failed to encode several DVD's using tools like ImToo with no luck. I've had this from the official forum and googled the types but it doesn't seem to tell me much. MP...

Re: Sony Bravia W5500
Okay one last thing. I'd like to reactivate my firewall. Wildmediaserver is in the exceptions yet when I reactivate the firewall the the program stops talking to the TV.

Re: Sony 46W5800 - streaming mkv & m2ts without transcoding?
I've done the recommended and the majority of my h.264 files work well but I have a problem when I try to stream a HD file. It does the test transcode well and works in VLC. Unfortunately the TV picture isn't right just a mess although the sound is coming through, I get the same result when playing ...

Re: Missing last 5 seconds on playback and HD stutter
You're probably low on cpu cycles. If you select your media file and do a test transcode then compare the frame rate generated with that of the file it'll tell you.

Re: Sony Bravia W5500
I've tried to change the active pad colour to black but it remains stubbornly at gray.
edit to clarify :- In the settings it is showing as black but during playback the padding is still gray. I had no problems changing this running on Vista 32bit

Re: Sony Bravia W5500
It seems I maybe spoke to soon, although these are minor. Some changes I make in the settings do not seem to be taking effect, like the active pad colour and general transcoding settings. My machine is not powerful enough to transcode all movies to 1080p so I tried to change the default to Bravia 12...
