Interesting. Looking for setup differences I'm using XP pro. On the NAS I have CIFS access enabled and NFS access disabled. I'm using user based access control (UBAC) rather than PBAC. Thanks for the info CMK. Eugene, I read that post you linked but didn't notice it suggest a method to pre-transcode and then playback as part of video library. Is it possible for WMS to transcode on request to play video file then permanently store the transcoded temp file so whenever the video was again called on to play it would reference the transcoded temp file and use it again? Using NAS drive to store content. WMS scans shares using path and content is selectable on the menu of the DirecTv HR23-700 DVR. However, non-transcoded MP3's or even JPG's won't play or display. HR23 reports "unable to access media". Will only play content on the host PC's drive. All temp...
