Sorry for the delay.
Thank you very much, Eugene. This helps alot.
But I have still small problem: What about germans "Umlaute" (e.g. in genre names as "Komödie"). Is there an option available to handle this type of chars?
Thanks again.

Media Ressource Database: Problems with IMDB
Hello, my video library is still growing. To retrieve meta-data from several different movie-databases is really nice thing. Its kind of cool to have movie pictures, genres, actors and so on on your device display. But I have a small problem with the script of IMDB-reading: I've modified it for the ...

Re: MP4 - Playback
Ok, I think the problem is the resolution of my MP4 file. As mentioned in this article ( http://gxben.wordpress.com/2008/08/24/why-do-i-hate-dlna-protocol-so-much/ ) when the dimension exceeds 720×576, MP4 isn't a propper container format for DLNA any more. In this case MPEG-TS should be the right s...

Re: MP4 - Playback
These files work with the PC Share Manager? Hi Eugene, I've tried PC Manager with my own files: Same result. The funny thing is, I have another mp4 file with AAC encode audio and it works on WMS. Only my file make some trouble. I post the media information obtained from WMS. Old MP4-File (works wit...

MP4 - Playback
Hello, after deciding to re-encode my video files into MP4 files for support a wider range of playback-clients, I came to this point to test my transcoded files on my Samsung TV (LE32B650). The server used WMS 0.73 version and my MP4-file contains an H.264 (AVC) and the audio-data is AAC 5.1 encoded...

Ready for Standby ???
Hello, right now I'm configurating an private media server with Window Server 2008 R2 OS. My plan is to shutdown the server after a ore-defined amount of time. This works well so far, as long as I do not start WMS. When this program is running it seems to be keep the PC awake. Even if I start WMS as...

Re: Transcode - only audio ?
Ah, Ok. I thought about that. I've already try this muxer, but the CPU had so much to do. I thought the only work for a muxer is, to select the audio stream data from mkv-file transcode it to 2 channel mp3 and wrap it into a transport stream. Is it feasible, that this is CPU consuming, even the vide...
