It's already checked off.
This is the reason for the problem.
Sorry for misunderstanding... what I'm saying is that that option is already enabled. Are you saying that it shouldn't be?

Thanks.

It's already checked off. Doesn't help. Any other idea?

Thanks.

Movie length

Worked so perfectly and then... I really don't remember changing anything in setting but now I can't get it to show me the length of a movie on TV menu. This affects only NEWLY added movies. The old ones still show the length. I have avi's and mp4's. For one of mp4's I was able to "fix" it...

A number in bottom right corner

Every movie show a 2-digit number in the bottom right corner, big font, sort of in a square. I'm not sure if this is WMS or my TV (Bravia KDL40Z5100). The number starts at 30 or 31 and decrements to 24 in first few minutes of a movie and then just sits there forever. Couldn't find anything in WMS op...

Re: Bravia Z51000

Mystery solved. I remembered someone else reported the same problem so I ran the recommended update to 0.72.2. The server is finally showing on my tv. I can list and play movies but I'm not getting any sound. In fact, my tv sound continues. Any idea what's this all about?

Thanks.

Re: Bravia Z51000

Just installed the server on my laptop (Vista) - it works like a swiss cookoo clock. On 2003 server, won't work no matter what I do. I'm not sure what you mean by "network security for wms.exe". Where would I check and/or change that? Do you mean service Log On User? I tried that too; had ...

Re: Bravia Z51000

I guess I missed that I should create a list of allowed devices. Did that too and tried with those 3 Sony TV types. Still nothing. I'm pretty sure the problem is the fact that I can't access the server via browser, for whatever reason. I'm baffled. Not a clue what else I should look for. Sorry about...

Re: Bravia Z51000

Little bit more information. I tried all these in various combinations of DLNA 1.0, 1.5, Web etc Sony TV (DLNA, 16:9, 1280x720) Sony TV (DLNA, 16:9, 1920x1080) Sony TV NTSC (DLNA, 16:9, 720x406) Nothing works. What puzzles me is that I also can't access the server from the local machine on given por...

Bravia Z51000

I just can't make this work. I tried a few Sony (DLNA) configurations but my tv just doesn't see the server. Is there a step by step guide (for dummies like myself) that would help me troubleshoot the problem? Does WMS even work with Sony Z series?

Thanks a lot.
