Who can help me to solve the following?
Situation:
1. Philips LCD TV connected to PC through wireless lan
2. Router is D-Link DIR 655 Wireless Ethernetport is Asus WL-330gE
3. Windows xp on the pc
4. Wild mediaserver 0.72
5. Fps rate as result of device test is above required framerate
After about 30 minutes the connection between tv and pc is disrupted.
Reconnection is only possible after switching off the tv or disconnection of the ethernet cable between Asus Ethernet port and TV
The timing seems to be the same as the leasetime for assignment of port 1900.
Who has suggestions to solve this problem? Thanks in advance

2. Check the rules of the program firewall (UDP 1900 - In/Out)
3. If possible, try for check connect the tv and the pc directly.
Re: Philips TV 32PFL9603 disconnects after 30 minutes
Dear Eugene,
Thanks for your fast reaction.
I tried option 1, turning off Upnp in the router, result, no effect.
Option 2 opening UDF port 1900 for WMS application has no effect,
Option 3, connecting the TV directly to the pc, did not work, as I was not able to make a connection.
In the log file I see just before disconnection "error 10054"
The disconnection is exactly after 30 minutes from the moment that the tv is switched on.
What I will do is making a connection through an other router, I will inform you as soon as possible
Please let me know if you need the logfile
thanks so far

Perhaps it was necessary to use a cross cable, although modern devices is optional.Roberto wrote: I tried option 1, turning off Upnp in the router, result, no effect.

If you attach a log file in the archive on the forum or send to support@wildmediaserver.com I'll check it.Roberto wrote: In the log file I see just before disconnection "error 10054"

Re: Philips TV 32PFL9603 disconnects after 30 minutes
In the mean time I connected the TV with the pc through cable. With the direct cable connection there was no problem concerning disconnection. I also tried another router and that gave also no problem.
The problem lies within the Dlink router DIR-655 for as well the wireless connection as the wired connection. The router causes the winsock error 10054 after 30 minutes which is the reason that the connection is disrupted. Almost all settings within the router I have tried out, without any result. I will contact Dlink about it and keep you informed about the progress.

Re: Philips TV 32PFL9603 disconnects after 30 minutes
In the mean time I reported the problem to D-link. However I do expect to get a solution from D-link.
Considering the situation there is one question that still bothers me.
When I use windowsmediaplayer, there is not such a problem as described.
It appears to happen in the communication between WildMediaServer and the DIR-655.
Is there a possibility that WildMediaServer is also part of the problem?
Is there a timing within the mediaserver that reacts after 30 minutes?
Thanks in advance for the reaction

Checked on the same file, which supports the TV without transcoding?Roberto wrote:In the mean time I reported the problem to D-link. However I do expect to get a solution from D-link.

Re: Philips TV 32PFL9603 disconnects after 30 minutes
Yes Eugene,
With or without transcoding it happens, even when there is no activity at all.

Maybe google.com:Roberto wrote:Yes Eugene,

Code: Select all
"dir-655" "30 minutes" drop connection
Code: Select all
"dir-655" "30 minutes" disconnect
Re: Philips TV 32PFL9603 disconnects after 30 minutes
Perhaps the problem in the WMS, UPnP-messages do not pass though a router, changes will be in the next version.
