Any news on this feature?

I have a few compilation albums that have "Various Artist" in the BAND ID3 tag, however, Windows Media Player 12 (via WMS) shows them like this...

(I know that is an image of TwonkyMedia, but WMS does the same)

Thanks

Sorry for taking so long. Have been very busy with a lot of things, which did not include TV & WMS

I have upgraded to thge lastest version and found a number of improvements! Great! I do have some (new) questions however ....

You have included track number in track title which makes sorting a bit strange. Tracks are now sorted by number instead of first letter.

Also I still use the playlist Artist Index (scripted) instead of the default Artist Index because the script first gives me a letter (A, B, C) and then the list of artists with that letter. The default Artist Index is far too large for me ;)

Maybe something that can be a new feature: would it be possible to select the sort order? When I now choose Artist Index -> Artist it shows a list of albums alphabeticly sorted. I would personnaly like to sort based on album year. Maybe it would be possible to add a config setting choosing sort order?

I still love the program and hope to have a bit more time the next weeks 8-)

Almost forgot....

I found WMS takes a long time to switch between tracks when the num,ber of tracks in a directory is growing. I have a directory with approx. 3.500 tracks, switching (manually or shuffle play) between tracks can take up to 10 seconds.

Another strange thing I just found: the WMS Artist list does not import artists correctly: I have artistnames like "Blues Brothers, The" and "Police, The". When these Artists are imported in the database only the text after the "," is included.... so now I have a lot of Artists "The"

The script I also use imports OK ....

The comma is listing the artists, at the moment I have no idea what this could be done without loss of uniformity.

Don't know if it helps, but the "Artist Index" script I also use works fine with me, even with the comma
