Is it even possible to have a MKV file play on a Wii (assumes the WMS can transcode it on the fly)?

Turned of uPNP on the router, rebooted all, no change. Played same movies over wireless N, same TV, same WDTV live, using network shares instead of WMS, no crash after 30 minutes. Only happens with WMS, Wireless N, after exactly 30 minutes. Is there some logging or something similar I could turn on ...
