Eugene,
It's only the on files that are dynamically transcoded that stop after 15 mins. I'll try a direct connection, once I've worked out how to do it!
Thanks.

Re: Pre-transcoding
Eugene,
Not sure if it's router problem as I can play a pre-transcoded file all the way through even though the audio breaks up at the start.
Thanks.

Re: Pre-transcoding
Eugene,
Tried both options but audio still breaks up. Dynamically transcoding the source file works but the video stops after 15 minutes as before. I am using the MPEGTS file format container.
Thanks.

Eugene,
DVD is not encrypted and source file plays OK if I copy it to an external drive and directly connect it to the Samsung.
Thanks.

Pre-transcoding
Eugene, I've started having trouble pre-transcoding files. The process I'm using is to backup my dvd with DVDfab, then create a single MPG file using VOB2MPG. This file is then fed into WMS and pre-transcoded using shift 5 on the file. The parameters I'm using are - MPEGTS container and the Movies (...

Re: transcoding always stops
I had this problem a while back and it was sort with the suggestions made by Eugene and as you say it worked. Couple of days ago I started having the problem again. Yesterday I tried the same file but this time via a PS3 and it was fine so I can only think it's something to do with my Samsung LCD / ...

Re: transcoding always stops
Hi,
I have a similar problem where a MPG file that seems to transcode OK but the saved transcode file size is about 2/3rds the size of the original MPG file. During play back the transcoded file stops after about 20-30 minutes.
Original MPG file plays ok with VLC.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

Re: Movie playing time
Eugene,
Are there any step by step instructions on how to transcode to a file direct from a DVD? I've tried just about every way with no success.
Cheers.

Re: Movie playing time
Eugene, Is there anyway that when you are transcoding the timing on the vob can be ignored? The reason I ask is that I have a large vob file and the timing is not correct on it. This seems to cause problems when transcoding as the output file is smaller than the original file and if played back the ...
