Movies - VLC -FFMPEG trasncoding error

Post by wilkinsd501 »

Hi,

I am trying to use the 'Movies - VLC - FFMPEG' trasncoding profile to see if this helps my problem with getting podcasts to work on my LG TV, as I think VLC might do a better job of streaming. However, when I try to use this profile I get the following VLC errors:

[004ffd2c] dummy interface: VLC media player - 1.1.5 The Luggage
[004ffd2c] dummy interface: Copyright c 1996-2010 the VideoLAN team
[004ffd2c] dummy interface:
Warning: if you can't access the GUI anymore, open a command-line window, go to
the directory where you installed VLC and run "vlc -I qt"

[004ffd2c] dummy interface: using the dummy interface module...
[005087cc] filesystem access error: failed to read (Specified event object handle is invalid)
[004ceda4] main input error: open of `fd://0' failed: (null)
[004ceda4] main input error: Your input can't be opened
[004ceda4] main input error: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'fd://0'. Check the log for details.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? I've looked on Google but can not find anything. Also, I am unable to create a VLC log file. It is set up in the Preferences with a verbosity of 3 (=debug) but no file is ever created, no matter where I locate it.

I am successfully using VLC for audio files, using it to transcode M4a files to MP3 and stream them to my TV, so I think the VLC installation is OK.

I am running VLC v1.1.5 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Any help would be appreciated.
