Prevent re-reading media library when WMS starts

Is it possible that WMS skips rereading the whole library again everytime it starts?
I have gigs n gigs of movies, and it takes ages for WMS to startup.
Other media servers remember the contents and you can re-read on command if you wish, or the program automatically notices the additions and re-reads.

Settings - "Media-resources" - Scanning - "Scanning directory of media resources at program startup"
