Is it possible to select a specific audio stream like DTS 5.1 or Dolby 5.1?
Can you transcode just the main movie direct from a DVD?
When you view via a folder Transcoding you can choose the audio track. When you view via folder Transcoding transcoder merge separate vob-files. Using the profile transcoding, "Movies (primary) - MENCODER" will play the main film. You can turn on "Creating folders DVD-structure for DVD-directories" (Settings - Media-Resources - Scanning) - useful if the DVD contains several episodes.

Eugene,

Sorry I can't see anywhere to select "merge" vob files in the Transcoding/Removable Media directories? Am I looking in the right place?

Thanks.

This mode is always enabled for folder Transcoding.

Just to make sure I have it right -

Load a DVD.

Select the "Movies (primary) - MENCODER" transcode profile under transcode settings.

Select the first VOB file listed in the Transcoding/Removal media directory.

Select the VOB listed in the right hand and hit shift-5.

Cheers.

Name used transcoding profile is set in the text of the script prior transcoding (csTranscodingProfileName). The script works for pre-transcoding standalone files, ie for the DVD merge, unfortunately, will not. Been discovered yet another problem for transcoding is used by default transcoding profile, not the one that is specified in the script.

Does that mean you cannot pre-transcode direct from a DVD?

In the current version this can be done, but not very convenient.
There is another solution :)
Settings-Transcoder-Directory temporary files - specify a convenient directory for temporary files.
Run test transcoding, аfter finish transcoding, copy the file in a directory of media resources.
