Ziova 505

Post by Foolproof »

I have this historical standalone HD player.
It has natively support to 1920x1080 in MPEG4-ASF,MPEG2,MPEG1,WMV9 compression.
It has native support video containers AVI, MPEG PES,MPEG TS,WMV,MP4,VOB,support DVD Video as ISO or file structure (IFO)
It has native support of MP3,MP2,AC3,Flac,DTS,OGG sound.
And others.
In Win XP I share all my files in all net without problems, I am connecting through SMB.
From november I have a new system - Win7 64 bit. My NAS goes very well, all is OK, but SMB sharing of file from PC is dead.
I try mediaservers. I have found WMS as very interesant, but :
--------------
In "About" is - program is based on Fuppes. In Fuppes I have changed config and without IFO,ISO I can play the most files. It goes.
I tried WMS. WMS find well my player, on player I see "WMS(computername)", click and I see folders VIDEO, AUDIO, MY COMPUTER, IMAGES, SERVICES. Click on any folder and.......nothing (on player only message searching). Player hangsnot up, I can navigate another folder etc. but no file is found.
------------
Can I make anything do for better connection ? Or send a log or ....I dont know what.
Fuppes is OK, but uncomfortable, WMS is super class.

Thanks for any help.

My first steps in UPnP were based on Fuppes, the program does not use Fuppes (another language). I felt it necessary to mention the author of this program in the About.

What is the configuration of the device used? Tried to use the default configuration. Debug log can be enabled in Settings-Additional. Same place a debug log can be viewed. Examine yourself or attach to the archive on the forum or send to support@wildmediaserver.com.

Thank very much for reply.

I tried this:

Start player.
Start Wild server with default configuration and set log as debug.
Run server
On player click on WMS (I see folders video,audio...etc.)
Click on folder (only message searching I can see)
Click up directory 2x
Stop server
Close program.

Log is attached.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, there are problems, the identificator of folders in the program 36 characters, the device accepts only 31 characters. You can try to choose the configuration of the XBox, the main folder will be a smaller ID, but I'm not sure that completely solves the problem.

I think - it is better.

I give XBOX and I can list now in some folder. For example All Movies. In My computer no.
Many files are playing, I dont see AVI, AC3, DTS and some other.
I tried change mime_types in config video/avi to video/ms-video and add mime_types audio/ac3 and audio/vnd.dts
(as in Fuppes) but situation stay the same.
I cannot list removable media and in all movies I do not see files from it.
I tried play file as transcoded - mp4 (H.264+AAC) and flv (VP6+mp3), files are played OK as mpg - profil DVDVideo.

What can I do when I will see all files AVI,MP2,AC3,DTS etc.

Interesant - when I rename avi to divx, this file I can not see too. Ziova has native support for it.

Thanks for answer.

For AVI try mime-types : video/x-ms-avi, video/avi, video/divx, video/x-msvideo
AC3, DTS - audio-tracks for avi or standalone files?
Files that are included in the list of media resources should be registered in the Settings - Media resources - File Types

I will add in future versions of the possibility of using shorter identificators, I think this will solve the problem with navigation.
