LG BD390 and subtitles

Post by Marin »

Hi, Eugene, I must say I'm impressed with your application, everything works great for me, except subtitles. I was using Nero Media Home Essentials 4 before your server, and subtitles worked great. Every movie is in own folder, together with subtitle file, which have name exactly as movie file. I've read posts in forum, updated to version 0.72.5, tried everything but I can't get any subtitles shown on TV (edit information for subtitles, change region code, etc etc). Do you or does anybody have some walkthrough for LG BD390 to make subtitles work?

Thanks in advance, and I must say once more, you have one great peace of software :-)

Subtitles are present in the track list movie program's main form?

Yes, subtitles are there...I've added (in Edit selection) country code for Croatia, maybe I should add sometnig else? Please correct me if I'm doing something wrong.

Thanks in advance,

Here reported that the subtitles are working with LG BD 390 - http://www.wildmediaserver.com/forum/vi ... ?f=17&t=98. What kind of subtitle problem ? The settings that you change, for transcoding with subtitles. What have chosen the type of device? DLNA-mode enabled?

Well, I've chosen WD TV (with DLNA), selected DLNA 1.5...but do I have to enable option Always perform transcoding when subtitles are found? And in Transcoder menu, tab Subtitles, speed indicator, what should I set as a Subtitles directory? I have one folder with many movies, every movie is in its own folder, together with subtitle file (.srt). I've thought that I do not have to enable transcoding in your server, because LG BD390 is capable of doing almost everything by itself?

Thanks,

Marin

Eugene, thanks for all your help, everything is working now :-) I've selected, for option "Subtitles directory", my folder where all movies are, and after I've deleted that entry, (now is a blank field), and everything works :-) Great :-) Once more, your server is the best of all...

You can specify * in the list of supported video files, all files will be without transcoding (Settings-Device-Embedded file support).

P.S. If you use individual settings device, the settings must be made in them.
