irregular subtitles

Post by ffabreti »

Yet another subtitle question. Sorry, could not figure it out thru forum answers.
Setup:
- WMS 1.11.5
- Philips BDPlayer 5200
- Wireless connection
- Default config did not solve the problem, so I've been clicking around
- I can stream movies normally
- Example movie ripped with DVDFab6, DVD (VOB)
Problem:
- Subtitles without definition
- Look at pics bellow:

Configs:
WMS-0.png
WMS-0.png (99.53 KiB) Viewed 4992 times
WMS-1.png
WMS-1.png (72.62 KiB) Viewed 4992 times
I dont want to transcode any files, if possible.

For a matter of feedback, I think you would provide some flows illustrating how WMS works, because some problems would be solved by knowing better the interactions between config options and their cavets.

Thanks in advance,
Fernando.

The player supports DVD-subtitles, but there is a problem with the palette of the subtitles, VOB-files does not contain default palette, palette in ifo-files. Need to play with transcoding. DVD-subtitles - it's graphical subtitle, most of settings has no effect

Ok. Thanks for your reply.

Any external tools we would use to correct that issue ?

Any other DVD rippers that output a better subtitle setup (I mean, that works with WMS) ?
