I'm very lost!

Post by COLT45UK »

I'm very lost on this software. After lots of reading and I'm still confused :?

I'm not "tech person" so take it easy on me ;)

I've recently purchased a new TV (Sony BRAVIA KDL-46NX713). I was told by my local dealer that this TV is DLNA which can stream via network. After googling around, it appears that this software seems to be the one I'm hoping to buy (trial atm, got till Aug 3rd 2011)

I've installed this software, checked the help (button on top/right corner) first thing which I normally do, but I've noticed the screenshot is very different to this current version i'm using (v1.10)? - I understand it's just a guide to give me some ideas, but when I want to find that "subtitle" options, it's not there in the current version (different to the screenshot, maybe older version?) - where it is? - So that's where I'm kinda lost here and there if you know what I mean.

I've managed to get the movie to run fine (nice and smoothe) but for some reason some movie isnt not showing correct AR.
When I want to use subtitles, I never have managed to get subtitles to work! - Everytime I mess with it (maybe I made it worse?) - then do a "Test Transcoding", it's mostly stopped working. I can't see where's the error log is - all I see is "RED" bar along the bottom of the screen under the "Transcoding" tab.

Can someone please maybe create a simple guide for beginner user like myself and share it with everyone else who have the same experience as I have.

Thanks

Eugene think about to create guidance video for beginners on youtube like other programs already have. I work as IT specialist and it took me about 1 year to little understand how programs works. Screenshots manual is good but not always useful when user must set it up properly. I think that against video instroduction it will be easy to setup everythig new versions of sofware included.
