Re: How to disable scanning CD/DVD drive(s)
Delete folder "Removable media" from Movies, Music, Photo
I'll try this, but this quite a definitive solution. It will completely take away the possibility of using Removable Media, is there an alternative that will give me the possibility of manually addinf / s...

How to disable scanning CD/DVD drive(s)
Whenever I put a disc in one of my DVD drives of my PC WMS automatically starts scanning them. Since I sometimes just put them in after burning to perform a quick check I do not want this, because I have to wait for WMS to finish before removing the disc. Which setting (if present) do I need to use ...

Sorting options
If possible: sorting options. When using the main WMS window you can sort views by clicking a column. It would be great if these sorting preferences could be saved per view, so you could have different sortings like - Music -> Albums -> by track no - Music -> Artist -> Year etc. and that these sorti...
Don't know if it helps, but the "Artist Index" script I also use works fine with me, even with the comma

Re: Audio / MP3 questions
Also I still use the playlist Artist Index (scripted) instead of the default Artist Index because the script first gives me a letter (A, B, C) and then the list of artists with that letter. The default Artist Index is far too large for me ;) Another strange thing I just found: the WMS Artist list d...

Changed Settings -> Device -> Include in title music media resource track number .... did the trickLouisXIV wrote:You have included track number in track title which makes sorting a bit strange. Tracks are now sorted by number instead of first letter.

Date format changed by WMS
Since I updated WMS it seems WMS is interfering with my Windows XP date format. I'm using dutch XP. After starting WMS througout my complete Windows environment (explorer but also fe Excel) date is presented as 09.02.2010 instead of 09-02-2010 (my default). After changing back the setting through co...

Re: Audio / MP3 questions
Almost forgot....
I found WMS takes a long time to switch between tracks when the num,ber of tracks in a directory is growing. I have a directory with approx. 3.500 tracks, switching (manually or shuffle play) between tracks can take up to 10 seconds.
