Hello. After several hours I have succeeded in streaming high AR videos on my Panasonic TX-P50G20E. I suppose that similar method will work with other TVs.
One important change was increase Frame/Screen Hight from 1080 to 1088 in .cfg and in translator setting as well.
- use modified panasonic_viera_tv_dlna_wide_1920x1088.cfg
- modify script Movies (additional)
- change transcoder settings according to settings.txt in the attachment

Now my videos are treated as 16:9 and have appropriate black strips above and below the picture. Previously my videos were treated sa 4:3 and stretched to full screen. And finally I'd like to thank the user J.T.K. for his configuration file for Panasonic TV.

Hello everybody. I've just found out that everything what is needed is just one simple thing: set frame size to 1920 x 1088 in transcoder settings. Everything else is obsolete. Just use original J.T.K.'s panasonic profile, set transcoder frame size and enjoy widescreen :)

Hello,

for current WMS (1.59.2) set this:
- Setting
- Devices
- select your TV and press Settings
- Codecs, Frame
- set Frame size to 1920 x 1088
- set Format 16:9
- set Change the original frame size to Always

I think that's all. If not check following (I am not sure what are default values/settings):
Frame: L, T, R, B all zeros, L, T, R, B checked
Active padding color checked

BR
