Wild media server (UPnP, DLNA, HTTP)

An automatic scanning catalogs media resources (button Settings - chapter "Media Resources" - page Scanning):
- Automatic scanning of directories when they change while the server (not recommended to be included if the catalogs of media resources are used in file-sharing networks (the program EMule, uTorrent, etc.));
- Scan directories on schedule;
- Scan directories when the program starts.



I checked automatic scanning but when I add files to my server directories they don't automatically update.
Are they supposed to or do I have to rescan everytime I add something new?

yes server is on all the time.
do you mean i need to check the box "install windows service"?

while server is started, i add files to my media resource folders and they don't automatically get updated and i dont see them in my folders in the program unless i do a full media scan again.

No, this is not necessary

I have no problem with the auto scan. Perhaps some features of your configuration.

so when i add files to my resource folders they should automatically then show up when i look at my folders in the main screen?

Yes, it works for me so

what can i have set wrong?
all my resource folders are on my external drive.

Please help me figure this out. I hate to have to rescan my entire library every time I add a few new albums

Maybe an external drive does not support information about changes. You can scan selected folders.

updated and restarted program
now seems to be working!!
