Cannot play file

When trying to view some files from Dailymotion, MTV, Comedy channel and some others , the message says that the file is not supported or corrupt, yet all files from Discovery channel play ok , any help , also what is " transcoding " , has this something to do with the problem ?? any help Thanks Joe
