Server Start button just flashes up Start server

Post by Classic_Tim »

but it doesn't start.

I have installed the trial version on Ubuntu 9.10 with Wine 1.2.

Any ideas what I've done wrong or what I need to do to get the server running?

Thanks,
Tim

Thanks for your quick response.

I can see the network adapters and have selected the Belkin wireless (USB Dongle) but it still doesn't start.
I'll get a long Cat5 cable and try the onboard 100Mbs port - perhaps it doesn't like the Belkin.

I'm also experiencing exactly the same problem, allowing eth0 didn't help...

The problem is the absence of a certificate "UTN-USERFirst-Object", which is in Ubuntu 8.04
UTN-USERFirst-Object.zip
(1.06 KiB) Downloaded 1081 times
CertMgr.exe - Tool from Microsoft SDK - http://www.wildmediaserver.com/files/CertMgr.Exe

1. Download UTN-USERFirst-Object.zip
2. Unzip UTN-USERFirst-Object.zip
3. Download CertMgr.Exe
4. Start CertMgr.exe
5. Click "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"
6. Click Import
7. Click Next
8. File name - Browse - ... - UTN-USERFirst-Object.p7b
9. Click Next
10. Click Next
11. Click Finish
12. Ok

I have exactly the same issue.

I am running Lucid Lynx amd64, first tried with Wine 1.2, then upgraded to 1.3.9.

Tried WMS 1.0.7, and the recent release candidate 1.0.8rc2.

Installed the certificate as suggested earlier in this thread, still only get a brief flash and no diagnostics, even when setting the log mode to "debug".

In addition, I now also get the message
"Program file is corrupted. It is recommended to reinstall the program from the distribution kit."

Naturally, I tried reinstalling. I tried various orders of the installation steps: first the certificate, then installing WMS, and vice versa.

I have run out of ideas.

Any suggestions?
