New user of WMS... need help

I just downloaded the trial and really like the product, but it is just not clear on how to setup everything.
I have my movies scanned from 2 different locations: my local TEMP folder, and my network drive where I keep most of my videos.
I want WMS, upon scanning the movies to be able to do the following... and I know it can, because of the nice script engine that it has...
1) Rename my folders to be "clean" with just the movie name
2) Rename my movie files so they are also "clean"
3) Lookup the movie name from IMDB to get the Actors, Directors, Rating, etc for the purpose of organizing.
4) If possible, download a trailer video and store it in the same movie folder.
I see articles on these forums about using YAMM and stuff, but that is not working for me it seems. I just think we shouldn't need any of that. It should be a script in WMS so it can be done within the same program. It is a scripting engine after-all and should be able to do all of this. Right?
At the moment my trial period has expired so I am looking to see if I want to buy this product.
Thanks so much for your help in advance,
John
