Italian translation

Post by libero »

Hi,

This is to let you know that I'm working on an italian translation of the program.
I think that it will be ready in a week or so.

In order to improve the translation I'm asking some help.

I cannot understand what's the difference between option 3,4,5,and 6 in loading a new localization file.
It seems to me that 3 is the same as 5 and 4 is the same as 6.

----

rsMainCollectionMovies appears when right clicking on favorites (not Collections)
rsMainCollectionMusic ... on favorites (not Playlist)
rsMainCollectionPhoto ... on favorites (not Album)

---

what is: "Files: Positioning (DLNA)|Positioning (DLNA) for local resources" and How it works ?

Open the file - opens the specified file, the changes are saved in the specified file
Copying - current localizations (languages) removed, new localizations (languages) from the specified file
Addition (allowed duplicate localizations) - just adding localizations (languages) without verification of their existence
Update (leave current localizations) - adding localizations (languages) which no
Update (replace current localizations) - adding localizations (languages) which no, full replacement localizations (languages) which exists (error in english localization - "leave current translations")
Merge (leave existing translations) - adding localizations (languages) which no, adding translations which no.
Merge (load new translations) - adding localizations (languages) which no, replace translations which exists.

Difference between Update and Merge

Current localization
Item1
Item2
Item3

Loaded localization
New Item1
New Item2

After Update
New Item1
New Item2

After Merge
New Item1
New Item2
Item3

DLNA-description of resource contains positioning modes, which supports the server for this resource. If enabled "By position in file", then device can request resources from the specified position (in bytes). If enabled "By time", then device can request resources from the specified time position (in seconds or time format).

Still miss this.

I do not understand why if I right-click on "Collection" I have in the menu "Add collection" but not "Remove collection"
if I right-click on favorites I have in the menu "Remove collection" but not "Add collection".

it works the same for movies, music and phtoto.

Thanks for the rest. Now is clear.

New Translation file for version 1.08.04 attached

Just one note to Eugene. in the file there are two empty field in the translation, both of them should contain "MPEG4", I cannot set them: once filled they revert to blank upon reopening the translation tool.

Seems some sort of a bug.

Thanks, I will try to fix. Temporary fix: change the english translation (for example MPEG41).
