sony bravia kdl46z5100 not converting .avi files into mpeg2

I set up the server and immediately could see directories, play mp3s and show jpegs. but i could not get the .zvi video files to play. Instead i got the error message no items to display. I have tried both Sony TV (DLNA, 16:9, 1920x1080) and the Sony TV (DLNA, 16:9, 1280x720) entries, i selected dlna version 1.5 i have left the transcoder entry blank.

Can someone walk me thru the right configuration setup to enable viewing of the .avi files?

If your TV is NTSC, you must select the configuration "Sony TV NTSC (DLNA, 16:9, 720x406)"
