Internet TV streaming on WDTV Live slows down

Post by Shadowraven »

Hi,

I'm trying to stream http://cctv.ws/9/RaiSport. I have successfully added it into the Internet Television category. On my WDTV (with latest official firmware), when I launch it, it starts nicely. After about 15 seconds, I can see the framerate drop and the sound is loss.

Any suggested solution to my little problem?

Thanks
Eugene

The problem may be related to http://cctv.ws/9/RaiSport. Currently, VLC shows intermittently.

My stream stopped working completely now. When I test the transcoding, I check the temp folder and it's creating the file with extension .smpg. When I try the streaming from my WDTV, the temporary file is smpg.trail (1e2c7a07bb93ce200602ea594e38f639.smpg.trail)
Would you know what the trail extension means?

Trail indicates that the device has requested an end to the file.

That's probably a bug in the WDTV Live then. I reverted back to an older firmware version and the problem is gone. The extension is back to .smpeg
