Hi all,
I just purchased a new Lenovo IdeaCentral Q700 and installed WMS running v0.73. Installation all fine and it shows up on my XBR9, but It won't connect. After checking the Sony settings, it's saying
Server Name -- WMS (HTPC)
IP Address -- Information not available
MAC Address -- 00:25:11

x:x (correct MAC)
Connection Status -- Offline ****
Shown/Hidden -- Shown
I've installed PlayOn on the same machine and the Sony sees it fine.
Any suggestion on what might be the problem?
Thanks

After many trial and errors, uninstall/install, formatting new PC. I think I found a BUG. Install fresh copy of WMS 0.73 and Sony sees it immediately. I went into WMS to start as a Windows service, then Sony drop the connection. I turn of from starting as a Windows service and Sony again sees it.

If you use a firewall program, check its rules for the module wms.exe (if the server runs as a service Windows, the module wmssvc.exe),

Thanks for the tip Eugene,
Although your suggestion does appear to solve the showing of WMS on the Sony when I run it as a service. Once I run it as a service, video no longer play. It's saying "video cannot be played". Once I turn off running as a service, video play fine. I have not made a special adjustment except changing the file type from "PAL" to "NTSC". I'm sure it's something simple. Can you point to the right direction? I'm fine without running as a service and no issue with playing from my NAS either.
Thanks
