DSF / DSD files / SACD Iso files and bit length/bitrate

Post by gruvytune »

Hi Eugene.
I've been playing with SACD iso files and DSF downloads.

I notice that the file length when playing back via my Blu Ray > DAC are smaller than I'd expect (50MB for a 5min song)
Are they being converted to another format ie flac before being transferred to my output device?

Can that be changed so they get converted to 24bit rather than the 16bit files I expect they are being transcoded to now?

Thanks
Eugene

  • added configuration settings for maximum LPCM-transcoding parameters (Sample rate, Channels, Bits (size of sample), by default 44100, 2, 16), used for the transcoded file formats s16be, wav.
