Multiple WMS servers appear on TV

I have a new Sony XBR9, and I have set up WMS using the guidance on these forums. Everything is great!! But it seems when I stop/start WMS, the TV shows another instance of the server. So at times I will have two or three WMS servers show up in the Sony Xrossbar. I have followed the forums, deleted them all from the TV, assigned a single port to the server, and restarted. The TV has no problem finding the server and streaming pictures, video, etc., but this mulitple server problem continues to occur. I have tried to read through all of the FAQs and other posts, but nothing seems to fix this problem. I am running Windows 7 if that helps.
Thanks in advance

Are you sure ?

Did you reinstall the program? after a new installation of the server can get a new ID.

Pretty sure...
I haven't re-installed the program, but do you recommend that I assign a static IP address to it?

Change of address could be the cause, but if the address is not changed, then no ideas.

I had this once. Everyime you mess around with the network settings Sony TVs seem to see a new server.
If you go into the network setup option of the TV and server display settings. Turn off the display for anything in grey.
Totally uninstall WMS including deleting all data folders. Reinstall and search for the network to identify your network.
Should work, resolved the issue for me.

Windows has service (DLNA) included when win media player is installed. That is that second server.
You have to stop that service (Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service) set to disable or manual and be sure to stop it.
