Pre-transcoding

Eugene,
I've started having trouble pre-transcoding files. The process I'm using is to backup my dvd with DVDfab, then create a single MPG file using VOB2MPG. This file is then fed into WMS and pre-transcoded using shift 5 on the file. The parameters I'm using are - MPEGTS container and the Movies (primary) Transcoding profile, mpg file extension and MIME-type video/mpeg.
The problems I'm having are that on play back the audio breaks up at the start and the pre-transcoded file is 2/3rds the size of the original.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

DVD can be protected, encrypted. Checked playback of the source file on your computer?

Eugene,
DVD is not encrypted and source file plays OK if I copy it to an external drive and directly connect it to the Samsung.
Thanks.

With TsMuxerGUI can change the format to ts or m2ts.

Eugene,
Tried both options but audio still breaks up. Dynamically transcoding the source file works but the video stops after 15 minutes as before. I am using the MPEGTS file format container.
Thanks.

The problem for all files or specific? There was a similar problem on the Samsung, playback stopped in jumpstarting values videobitrate (scene change). But there it was on the bitrate close to 20 MBit.

If you are using a connection through a router, then try to connect directly to TV and computer.

Eugene,
Not sure if it's router problem as I can play a pre-transcoded file all the way through even though the audio breaks up at the start.
Thanks.

If playback all the files stops after 15 minutes, then check the direct connection.
