Audio is missing when playing m2ts files

WMS 1.10 on win 7 pro
When trying to play .m2ts files through PS3, I'm not getting any audio. Tried to play the same file by renaming the extension to .ts but it also did not work.
File was playing natively without any automatic transcoding. I could see excellent quality video without any problems.
Any help is really appreciated.
