What for CPU for RealTime-Trancoding 1080p

Hello,

i want upgrade my Home Server. What kind of CPU do I need at least, so WMS can transcode a 1080p mkv in real time?
My Atom230 is toooo sloooooooowwwww. :roll:

Hi,

Buying of network media player is better choice. Invest in transcoding, it is wrong (in my opinion).

Ok. But i have an SamsungTV, xbox360 and a IPad2.
There may be more expensive, but I've thus less equipment. It's just smarter.
I'm a Friend of simple things.

So, what do you think, what for a CPU is necessary at least?

I think
Buying of network media player is better choice. Invest in transcoding, it is wrong (in my opinion).
P.S. At least "Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor" and absence of resource-intensive processes
