Wild media server (UPnP, DLNA, HTTP)

I'm a new user and I was wondering if someone can help me with the following questions.

I want to use WMS with PS3 and ipad simultaneously and wants to pre-transcode my entire collection (have plenty of storage) for both these devices in the highest possible quality and save them in a folder so that I can completely avoid real-time transcoding. My questions are:

1. How can I pre-transcode my files to both these devices and keep them in a folder so that they are ready for use.
When I run pre-transcode by running files/directories processes, it is transcoding to the device that was chosen
as a default device under Settings->device drop-down. If I keep fliping this setting between these devices, the
transcoded file for previous device is getting overwritten.

2. When I try to play a pre-transcoded file, WMS re-transcodes that file again (only for some of my files) while playing.
How can I avoid this behavior?

3. How do I choose the profile that offers the best quality for my two devices (TV is 1080p 1920x1080)?
Do I've to tweak the settings of a profile to get the best possible quality or profiles that offer best quality are available?

You can use different scripts and profiles of pre-transcoding for different devices.

Settings - Transcoder - Profiles - "Movies (additional)" - Copy
Settings - Transcoder - Profiles - "Movies (additional)" - Edit - Name - add (PS3) or (iPad)

Changes are required for the formation of the parameters that match your requirements

Transcoded into a format, that is supported by the device.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, your response is too technical for me. I was wondering if you can take little bit of time to offer a solution for my requirement. I think WMS is capable of doing what I want but just having hard time to make it do what I need.

My requirement is simple. I want to pre-transcode all my video collection for PS3 and IPad in the BEST POSSIBLE QUALITY to a folder and then add those pre-transcoded files to my movie collection. This way I want to complete avoid live-transcoding (transcoding while watching) and avoid all issues related to computer load, capacity,etc. I dont care about disk space because it is so cheap now-a-days.

I would be surprised if there are not many other people who would want something like this.

I appreciate if you or someone else can help me out on this.
