I would be great if there was a Guide section where this sort of stuff was posted

I am also having trouble getting Internet TV to work, as follows :-
I have modified "Internet TV" as per previous instruction.
"Open File" - the link plays in VLC
Test transcode does not enter the transcode phase, no errors, just "press any key to continue ..." message.
I notice "check availability" for link never gives a (+) sign.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks, pcr.

I am trying to set up a live stream Internet TV link and it is making me crazy ....

I tried to follow the instructions of the Help file and this topic but it seems my WMS is quite different ?!?!?!?
I am trying to add this link:
http://livestreams.omroep.nl/npo/hollanddoc24-bb following these steps:
1. test in VLC (v1.1): VLC plays link
2. Opening Help -> Working with program -> Internet Media resources -> Manually adding links.
- Opening Movies -> Internet Television.
- Right Mouse on Internet TV -> Add Folder (I do not have "Add Link").
- Adding title (Holland DOC) & link (URL)
3. I Do not have Right Mouse Button menu items "Check availability", "Load File Properties" or "Test Transcoding"
4. Checked my WMS settings:
- Media resources -> Install dir VLC: OK
- Transcoder -> Internet Television -> Transcoding Profile. Changed from default (empty) to Internet TV, Internet TV (Input Stream) and Movies (primary) without succes.
What am I doing wrong????

OK, I have found it
I used the right mouse button on the LEFT side of the screen, and it should have been the RIGHT side of the screen ..... it seems to work now. I can go searching for streaming TV URL's ....
Can you/anyone give me a hint how to extract a streaming URL from a webpage which has a video on it, like
http://www.journaal24.nl?

VLC 1.1.1 stop to play any internet streams. Symptoms as previous posts. Restore does not helps. Test transcoding just say "press any key ....."
vlc was upgraded from 1.0.5
until upgrade everything worked fine
