3D content with WMS

Post by LeonJ69 »

Hi,

Since a few days I own a Samsung 3D TV (8000 series).
To stream media to the TV I can use the AllShare function of Samsung, and WMS.
I prefer WMS, but I encounter the following problem:
When I play serveral files (MKV's) they al play fawlessly and very smooth through WMS, but when I stream a 3D MKV (SBS), it starts jittering every few seconds. At first I thought it was due to my network (although I use wireless N), but when I play these 3D MKV's through Samsungs AllShare, they play fine without any jitter.

Is there any way to play them through WMS?

Leon

NB I didn't use Transcode, because I didn't know what to choose for 3D and via AllShare I isn't transcoded also.

Hi,

Settings - Transcoder - turn on "Show transcoding panel"

You can try device configuration "Samsung Features TV (DLNA, 16:9, 720x406)" or "Samsung BD Player (DLNA, 16:9, 720x406)"

Eugene,

Thanks for your reply, but still the same.
'Normal' files play well through WMS, but when I transcode a file (because the TV doen't recognize the file), it will play, but every few seconds it jitters. Also the 'big' files like 3D will jitter.
Normal MKV etc wil play smouthly through WMS.

Could it be something with buffering while transcoding (and how do I change that?).
Seems strange to me that files will play smoothly through Samsungs own AllShare server (also wireless) en they jitter by WMS.
Though I want to use WMS ;-)

Thanks again.
