It is strange. Playback works on the website, but not on my television. I tried by transcoding with "Internet Television" but then I get the message that the server is not available.. I tried the MTV podcast and it works flawless (without transcoding). Also with transcoding I receive the message that the server is not available.

The 'internet television' transcoding now does not lead to the message that Server is not available anymore. But the problem remains that "Uitzending gemist" stops after a couple of minutes...unfortunataly.

No errors during testing. So it must be my tv or something?

You can try to play transcoded file on your computer and TV via USB.

Ciao Echine,

I have the same problems on my ps3, i've removed also mpinternetitem etc.etc. tried the newest version and older versions of vlc but nothing works, after 2 minutes the streaming stops. In pms the streaming huks more ore less at the same position but will continue playing. I prefer wms because the dutch rlt plugin is much better working than in pms, when uitzendinggemist is working I only can use WMS! Tonight during test decoding I find out when the time > 50 the making of new framelines begin. When time > 100 the decoding stops. report of decoder information: FFmpeg version SVN-r25702, Copyright (c) 2000-2010 the FFmpeg developers

Eugene,

I've checked again and tried 3 different things
1) using the standard settings the testcoding is starting well but than I got below error about 30....55 seconds. The streaming will continue unit 90...110seconds and then stops.
error message:
Server sent an error status code: 0x51731ae4
Corrupt stream (unexpected packet type 0xffffffea, expected 0x10001)
[asf @ 0022b130] ff asf skip 8017 (unknown stream)
[asf @ 0022b130] ignoring invalid packet_obj_size (1926 1892 3647 5161)
[asf @ 0022b130] freeing incomplete packet size 5161, new 4392

2) I removed the mpinternet part.
Now the test decoding will not start at all.

3) Ive used a different profiles 'movies - direct show - wtv' and 'movies - primary_1980' and 'movies additional', no I have the same error problem as unter point 1). Profile 'movies - ts_muxer' will not give errors in the beginning and at 30-55 second, but the test is closing about 100-115 seconds.

When I start the stream in internet explorer there are no problems.
I'm using windows 7. I've tested above things with vlx 0.9.8

After installing vlc 1.1.7 everything is working fine, thanks!

I have the same problem. After two minutes it stops playing and skips to the next file in the podcast list.
Transcoding test with 'internet-televison' shows no problems.

It's not just with the Uitzendinggemist podcast. It's with all podcast i tried so far.
They all work fine for the first two minutes and then stop, loads the next file in the podcast and plays that one for 2 minutes.

Like Morefield I have a Sony Bravia tv (EX500)

Please below the log of test transcoding

Re: PODCAST Problems

Post by guido »

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problems. Installed the uitzendinggemist plugin and everything I try to watch stops after about roughly 2 minutes.

After I did set the transcoding profile for uitzendinggemist I updated all the feeds.
I also didn't have VLC installed yet so i got the latest version form the official VLC website and configured the VLC installation path in WMS correctly. (it was already ok when installing VLC in default folder)
At this moment I'm testing one of the uitzendinggemist streams "wie is de mol?" that previously stopped after 2 minutes. I'm at 12 minutes 10 seconds when I write this. So the suggestions given in this thread do seem to work for me. I'm using a PS3 to watch the show.
