Adding internet radio

Post by aVe »

Hello All,

WMS is working out fairly well so far, I like it a lot. I have 2 questions if anyone can help me with.
One I will post here and the other under General.

I am trying to add my radio stations and really don't know what I am doing.
I have a Sony BDP S570.

These two do not play, trans-code, or make available:
http://85.25.130.71:9096
Server: SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server/Linux v1.9.7
Content-Type: audio/aacp

http://hi.entranced.fm
Server: SHOUTcast Distributed Network Audio Server/win32 v1.9.8
Content-Type: audio/aacp

I have added them according to instructions from other posts and tried different xcoding profiles.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi.

I've also tried adding radio-station and always get the same error: File not found
I tried these steps and the result is the same: File not found
I have a Sony BRAVIA KDL-32EX500

My settings:
Internet radio support through transcoding audio stream - check
The original links from the URL-files (do not download a playlist) - uncheck

Test transcoding screens:

Any help is welcome.
Thanks.

This error happens to me too. It has been a while since I last played any internet radio via Wild Media Server on my PS3, so I'm not sure whether I used 1.08.2 or 1.08.3, but since I've updated to 1.08.4 it has stopped working. I haven't changed anything except update to the newer version so I suspect that an error might have snuck its way into the code :/
I haven't done anything besides updating WMS. Not even updating VLC. Though.. I have installed GOM Player which uses the exact same libraries as VLC player. I'm gonna try uninstalling that and see if that works - But I doubt it.

EDIT: Uninstalled version 1.08.4 and reinstalled 1.08.2 and now internet radio works again. Gonna try 1.08.3 and see if that work.

EDIT2: Works in 1.08.3 as well. I only have the problem in 1.08.4 - not sure what breaks it, but then again, I'm not a programmer.

Ok, so I reformatted the other day. I upgraded to 1.09rc1 and I had no problems in the beginning. Then I went to set up the service so that WMS would always be activated in the background no matter if I had the program running or not. When I activated the service I noticed that windows firewall had blocked it. When I unblocked it and tried listening to internet radio on my PS3 nothing came out of the speakers again like with 1.08.4.
Then I deactivated the service and went back to the normal server which instantly produced sound from my PS3. So it's something to do with either the service or windows firewall.

EDIT: Yup, doesn't play when service mode is activated. Only in normal mode. Doesn't break the program since I just have to set the program to start up with windows while simultaneously start the server.
But it appears to have been broken between 1.08.3 and 1.08.4.
