Hi - thought you gave up! I also messed about with all that.
I'm really looking for an answer from Eugene, as this is just too much of a coincidence, that we have the identical problem / symptoms. I was thinking about buying prog, but there is other stuff out there that streams video content with no problem. What I needed was the BBC iplayer to work.

Yeah I did give up on the podcast side of things - bought it anyway since the podcasts were only a nice to have and TBH had spent enough time faffing around trying to get em working. If you have the time to spend with Eugenes advice and get it working I will deffo try it again.

. . . and now I got BBC iPlayer working brilliantly! The solution? . . I upgraded operating system to Window 7, and all works first time. Problem must be with Win XP SP2/3.

Hi,

I have exactly the same issue and I too am using Windows XP.

Eugene - Have you got any ideas how to get this working for XP users as, I would really like to use this functionality?

Thanks,
Kevin

Eugene,

I have tried everything that has been suggested in this forum but still no luck with Podcasts.
The logs show no errors but do contain a lot of information.
Is it worth me sending you the logs to see if you can see anything wrong?

Regards,
Kevin.

My guess - it must be down to the service packs on XP. WMS with XP SP3 didn't work on my PC.
Compare Service packs with Eugene, maybe uninstall Windows updates regressively.

JohnCSS,

Thanks for your comments.
My Media PC has XP SP2 installed and has no other windows updates as windows automatic updates have been switched off since installation.

Kevin.
