Re: Announce version "Wild Media Server (UPnP) v1.09" (RC1)

Hi Eugene,

I just noticed that any version after 1.08.2, my LG BD player no longer plays any media. The player can list all the contents but upon playing, it will just hang awaiting for respond. When this happens, I saw that WMS didn't run any transcoding, despite any profile. I have no such issue with the public release 1.08.2 but have tried all the version after this and it wont play.

Any suggestion? Thanks.

Edited: Sorry correction, the transcoding starts but nothing received by the player

Hi Eugene

Since install v1.09 (RC1) I have been unable to play any mkv file, I just keep getting an error message saying the data is corrupt.

I have previously been able to play these files in v1.08.4

Should you require any more info from me please ask, I hope you can help

No changes in my environment, win7. I'ved tried to clean install WMS, worked ok as usual with 1.08.2, but the LG BD player just won't play any media above this version. I can browse the folders as usual though. Was there any changes made to the way WMS communicate with players after 1.08.2?

Hello Eugene,

with the update to 1.09 there is something going wrong. I'ts the same problem that was decribed here earlier.
My Sony Bravia works very well with 1.08.2 but after the update i can't get any video play and that works fine with 1.08.2.
With photos there ist no problem to send them to the TV, but with videos no chance.
As You can see in the debug log, there must be a problem with the transcoding. The file is announced but not created!

My second question:
I am testing (in 1.0.8.2) Pocasts. When I choose the Internet-Television transcoding profile the transcoding program should be my "VCL" (as is defined in the transcoding profile) but it is always "wmspeg" - what's the reason for that?

I'm sure You can help me and I thank You very much!
